Women In Cloud in partnership with M12, Founders Live, The WIT Network, IAMCP, UN EQUALS,  Microsoft Alumni Network, SHEROES, Arielle for Africa, Women in Alliances, Black Women Talk Tech, and Black Channel Partner Alliance is conducting a survey to better understand the financial, operational and emotional impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on women in tech.

We're all in this together. For the past year, Women in Cloud has taken an active role to identify policies and solutions to prevent economic losses for female tech entrepreneurs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Very shortly after the onset of the pandemic, Women in Cloud issued a COVID-19 Impact Survey to determine the effects of the outbreak on small-to-medium-size businesses led by women technology professionals in the United States and beyond.

The survey collected information from businesses across a breadth of industries, on the financial, operational and emotional impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their employees. It also collected insights on the resources, tools and policies necessary to support business’ recovery from the impacts of COVID-19, and prevent or minimize the damage to SMEs in future global crisis situations.

This year, we will publish a 2021 edition of the COVID-19 impact survey and report comparing and analyzing results between 2020/2021 around the impact and recovery expectations, and needs of women technology entrepreneurs as a result of the pandemic.

If you are a women led technology company, please consider taking 15 minutes to share how you and your business have been impacted over the last 12 months, and your expectations for the year ahead.

As countries, states, and cities respond to the COVID-19 virus, WiC wants to understand the effects on our community so that we can best advocate for possible policy changes and also leverage the report for recommending access for emergency funding and programs to sustain your companies.

*If things are uncertain or might change, that's totally fine! We'd still very much welcome your responses!

Why is it important to act now? This information will help in the following ways:

  1. Development of a report that policy makers and corporations can use for developing policies and economic opportunities that support economic recovery
  2. Development of evergreen solution recommendations that tech companies can take to prevent economic loss in any future crisis situations
  3. Ability to aide in policy development and business continuity for this segment to continue to help women entrepreneurs

Note: As this is a continually evolving situation, we may resend this survey for updated responses, or follow up with you individually on any additional information we may need, so we are asking you to identify your business on the survey and include contact information.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
